The Engagement Program Manager is a new full-time staff position with the Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood at the Osher Marin JCC. Reporting to the Director of the Taube Center for Jewish Peoplehood (CJP), the Engagement Program Manager will lead CJP’s new department initiative “J Engage,” which seeks to build connections through authentic friendships and meaningful programming among individuals and families connected to the Marin JCC.

The Engagement Program Manager will also support general operations of the department and act as both support and lead on a variety of CJP events and initiatives. As we recover from closures due to COVID, the CJP department is rebuilding and will continue to be an evolving area of the Marin JCC and the Engagement Program Manager’s duties will also evolve.

This job is primarily on site but includes off site in-person meetings, and limited ability for remote work.

Major Responsibilities
• Oversee CJP’s new engagement project “J Engage.”
• Meet with a diverse subset of families and individuals connected to the Marin JCC.
• Track and monitor data and trends from one-on-one meetings.
• Support director to recruit, engage, and empower robust group of CJP Ambassadors.
• Build and oversee programming development, coordination and administration based on learnings from one-on-one meetings and changing trends in Jewish programming and engagement.
• Build and foster collaborative relationships with Jewish organizations in the Bay Area.
• Keep abreast of best practices in field of engagement, provide leadership, design and training in engagement practices.

Qualifications
• At least two years’ experience working in engagement, programming or education (in a Jewish organization a plus).
• In depth knowledgeable about Jewish tradition, practices and community required.
• Knowledgeable of contemporary trends in Jewish programming, thought and education strongly preferred.
• Experience working directly with community members, peers and constituents.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work across departments with a variety of staff at different levels of an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to work respectfully with the broadest definition of Jewish community.
• Ability to work some weekends and evenings required.
